If your Central Coast home still has ceramic fuses, no RCDs or a switchboard from before the 2000s, it's almost certainly due for an upgrade. A modern switchboard gives you whole-house RCD protection, headroom for solar and EV circuits, and clearly labelled circuits you can actually troubleshoot.

How long does a switchboard upgrade take?
A typical single-phase upgrade is 4-6 hours with 2-3 hours off-power. Larger homes or 3-phase jobs can run into a second visit.
Do I have to upgrade the mains too?
Not always. If the existing mains are sound we keep them. If they're undersized for modern loads, we'll recommend replacing them at the same time.
