What is temporary builders supply?
Builders need power on site from day one. A temporary builders supply (builders pole or site box) is a compliant, metered, RCD-protected source of power while the permanent build is progressed. It's Level 2 work because it connects directly to the Ausgrid network. We've set up hundreds of builders poles across the Central Coast and work closely with local builders, owner-builders and subdivision developers.

- A new build about to start - frame and concrete tradies need power.
- A demolition where the existing supply must be removed but site power is still needed.
- A subdivision with multiple lots needing temporary supply during construction.
- A bushfire rebuild where the permanent pole won't be in for weeks or months.
Our process
Site visit
We look at the block, locate the POA, and confirm pole placement with your builder.
Quote
Fixed price for the pole, RCD box, meter, connection and take-down.
Ausgrid notifications
NOSW lodged for the new connection.
Install
Builders pole erected, service run, RCD box wired, meter fitted, energised.
Hand over & later conversion
Site power live; when the permanent supply is in we decommission and take the pole away.

Usually a single-day install once Ausgrid's energisation date is confirmed. We aim for inside 5 business days from first call.
Can you coordinate with my builder?
Yes - we work with dozens of Central Coast builders and are happy to liaise with your site supervisor directly.
Do you take it down at the end?
Yes. Once the permanent supply is in we decommission the temporary pole and dispose of the hardware.
