What is point of attachment repairs / re-sag?
The point of attachment (POA) is where Ausgrid's service line meets your property. Loose brackets, perished insulators, cracked eaves and low-sag cables are the most common Ausgrid defect notice reasons we see. This is Level 2 ASP work and usually a 2-3 hour job.
When you need it
- A defect notice specifying the POA, bracket or line clearance.
- A visibly loose bracket or cable sagging across a driveway.
- Cable insulation cracked or UV-degraded at the POA.
- The eave or wall anchor has rotted / pulled out.
- You're adding a new driveway or carport and need the line raised.

Do you do eaves POAs in weatherboard or fibro houses?
Yes - we regularly repair older Central Coast cottages with timber eaves. Rotted timber is often re-anchored into sound framing or moved to a steel bracket.
Will my street be closed?
If the POA is over the road, yes - briefly. We arrange traffic control where needed and include it in the quote.
